TL;DR version: IT WAS AMAZING! NTL;DR version I just wanna document my entire trip so I'll do that from my view point basically. I arrived late friday night so unfortunately I wasn't able to enter anything, It's fine tho, I really just wanted to take in the experience anyway. I mean it's Vegas and A large scale tournament where I'm actually not commentating just existing. Anyway, as soon as I get off the plan and start making my way to the pick up point. the VERY FIRST THING I SEE is a Liqour store! It was IN the airport like how godlike is that?! In usualy TKbreezy fashion I dropped like 150$ on spot because this weekend was going to be a good one, lol. I get picked up and arrive at the hotel at around 12 and not even 10 minutes after I get there I run into the CTRL boys and a few others. everyone's down there hitting the tables and what not. I didn't really gamble in the first place but I didn't have a ton of extra money so I just opted not to gamble at all this time around, not gonna waste the money I had on chance and idk my luck as of late has been pretty bad. Second day I go into the venue and see the PM set ups in the free-play area so of course I sat down and played. I just received my ENVY gaming controller like 3 minutes before I left to get on the plan friday so I used this time to test it out. IT SUCKS Moving on, Tearbear was sitting there for like 7 hours just bodying kids and then later on this DK by the name of Lobo did the same thing. this dudes DK was sick tho, it was hella flashy and it was getting me hype lol. heard there was going to be a PM tourney this day so I figured I'd do some commentary but when I heard it was at 6 I was like ehhhhhhh I'm pretty sure I'm going to be wasted by this time soooooooo nah. about 5pm we all went to the pool because they were having like drink specials and a "pool party" what first started out to be pretty standard turned pretty hype fairly quickly, lol. the DJ played a bunch of michael jackson and D1, Gmoney, Dean, DC and a few others plus I started dancing and getting everyone hype. then The DJ played turned down for what and as much as I hate that song this pool just exploded, lmao. everytime the "TURN DOWN FOR WHAT" drop came everyone jumped in the pool and started rampaging around. That shit was super hype. after said pool party found out AZ room was having a little shendig which turned out to be a big shendig and we spent a lot of our night in there chilling with those guys and what not (shoutouts to Taj). At some point after this we decided to hit the strip to get those alcoholic slushies lol, they were indeed godlike but the cup you drank it out of is what I was more hype about lol I probably have like 3 of those now. Sunday. Finals. HYPE. I didn't stay after Melee since I wanted to party but Dude BLAZBLUE?!? man finals for that game got me so hype I was like aight time to start playing anime games. idk why I never found them interesting before but maybe I was just brainwashed by the capcom gods or something lol Melee Finals I was in the front with Mikehaze, Lauren and TOJoe and I gotta say Hbox really stepped it up today. Second place? I had him pegged as a solid 4th or 5th but she definitely came through today so holla at him for that. Of course my boy Mango won tho as expected. #MangoNation I think the rest of Sunday night was spent drinking in various rooms and at the bar downstairs lol Shoutouts to all the Lauren's there. I loved hanging out with y'all lol. Shoutouts to #IBC Also Shoutouts to Prog, I'm not nearly as sad as everyone else is about him leaving because he isn't leaving. he may be stepping down from commentary for the time being but he is not stepping out of the community by any means. I hope for a speedy recovery my mans tho, I hold Prog to the highest of regard and have the utmost respect for him as an individual. That's coach. I think that's about all I can remember atm.
