While awaiting the next portion of this event, some musical artists came in one by one to immerse the crowd. One played a steelpan, one an Afrikan drum, and the last a handcrafted Afrikan instrument explained as the originating form of what is now referred to as the ‘xylophone’. I believe there was a suggestion at one point for the initial two to play collectively, but then the drummer joined in and it was like the cherry on top.
