The newest issue of Titans was fine, but it is sort of a problem that nothing really happened other than help set up the ongoing character arc with Nightwing.
Which is great for Dick BUT doesn't actually help move any of the other characters forward in anyway (apart from say "Hey Terra is sort of an ass).
Like there's no character development for any of the new Titans, none for Kory outside a meta context going "hey remember in the 90s when the comics were meaner about this". This might change with the next issue, but there's no focus on her or her feelings on the matter. It is all male centred.
Vic gets a reintroduction which is nice, but it doesn't focus on how he actually feels having gone through this MASSIVE CHANGE. (Please say we get an arc about how he feels his perception of himself changes, I gotta know how that goes)
And the language used did aim slightly younger (or at least felt like it did?), so it feels harder to judge because maybe this is aimed at 12 year olds instead of adult readers?
But yeah, the last issue was great for Nightwing readers - which tbf is a time honored tradition (both mean this as a positive and a negative), but just wasn't long enough/ didnt have enough room for storytelling with the other characters and that's annoying.
Like it's a fun read, but it doesn't quite do it's job for furthering The Titans arcs, just Dick Grayson.
