Alright, so I need some help, my mom's dumbass brother decided on a whim to get a fossil pokemon, so he found a shady company would sell one for cheap, and big surprise his tirtouga didn't come out quite right, and of course the company disappeared before he could return him. So, not wanting to deal with the little guy, he came crawling to my mom asking her to take him off his hands. She felt bad for the little guy and knew the other people her brother would probably ask would be far worse for him than she would, so she took him in.
The temporary setup she's made for him in is basically just a pool with some aquarium salt in it. though he seems to have trouble swimming, so my mom had to put him in really shallow water so he wouldn't drown. she says he flinches whenever she touches his front right or back left flipper, so we think it might hurt for him to swim. I'd say he's seems to be pretty malnourished too from the little I know about shelled pokemon.
All the sources i can find on caring for fossil pokemon seem to contradict each other in some way, so any help would be appreciated
