@tinkdw replied to your post âI have found a new favorite bread. I make it with...â
Nom! I have a great recipe for flat breads - 1 cup Greek yoghurt 1 cup flour, salt, mix, make into dough, shape into flatbread shapes and shallow fry in oil. Yummy!
Also nice if you add cumin etc :)
i donât fry đ but i have bought cumin and coriander for rye bread :)
SPN 14x12 Spoilers Ahead
I donât usually come on here to voice my opinion or review an episode, mainly because I like to leave that to the experts -- you know who you are -- however, after reading the latest comments about the supposed âturning pointâ I wanted to make my opinion very clear on Destiel; I am still here for this eternal ship.Â
I am a positive Destiel blog and I always will be. The episode tonight was not disappointing. Not at all. In fact, for all of the scenes with Dean and Cas, my heart was in my mouth. I can see whatâs there between them. I can see that Cas was angry enough to really give Dean shit this time for being an asshole who wasnât even going to say goodbye. And as for the turning point, we did get one. Cas was more open with Dean than he has ever been (interrupted by Sam but still). There's a conversation coming guys, just be patient. And how do I know that?Â
Two words: Casâ deal.
Thereâs a reason why Sam keeps interrupting these dumbasses; the conversation coming is BIG and yes, itâs being delayed, but it has to happen because Dean has to find out next about his angelâs heartbreaking deal. These two need to have it out. This is inevitable and itâs going to hurt bad so make sure to have your therapist on stand-by (or just someone you can share your pain with;) I for one have my sister on board).Â
If youâre wondering if everyone in the Destiel camp has given up, let me assure you that I havenât. :) And may the many reviews expected to come raining down on this Destiel shipper are much anticipated.
I am hoping that I will be able to add my own very soon. Until then, love to you all and donât give up. There is a light at the end of this tunnel. :)

@houseofglass is a brilliant example of so many bronly idiocies including using gross number ratings from friggin wikipedia without any adjustments as per industry standard to try to prove a point (badly) which anyone with any industry knowledge literally facepalms at having proven a hundred times how wrong this is (people from all sides of fandom by the way)
@tinkdw Didnât know I was a âbronlyâ, thanks for the label. I donât necessarily agree with it, but if itâs important to you to label me than so be it.
I think many of us have learned from the current American administration that some sources are not reliable, and adjusting numbers is one way of skewing the results. The reason I used Wikipedia is because itâs a reliable source, kept up-to-date, and vetted.
Misha Collins is not as important to Supernatural as Jared and Jensen are. Maybe he is to you, and the small but very loud portion of the fandom that believes the show should be more about Destiel than two brothers and a cool car.
tinkdw replied to your post âAll positive anons re the recent fandom drama Iâm sorry I donât want...â
Tho she did compare her self to TAW so itâs kind of appropriate but yes definitely I see what you mean
Thanks @tinkdw, I appreciate it. â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
R.e. the above, thatâs uh... unfortunate at best. Iâm not trying to take sides here. Just donât want to see a fandom drama morph into something even worse.

Michael, Parallels, 14x10
Supernatural, at it's core, has built itself around the relationship of Sam and Dean and their extended family, it makes sense that some of their best created characters are ones that reflect, emphasise or expand that initial bond that's at the heart of the show. In 14x10, Michael's motivation was given to the audience as a whole, and thus, he was humanised.
He explains to Castiel while using Dean as a vessel and bound in the Men of Letters, why remaining and destroying his own world wasn't enough, and why he wants to destroy the Prime!Verse that we've come to know and love as viewers.
Castiel Tell me. Why do you hate this world enough to burn it to the ground?
Michael Because I can. Because... Me and my brother -- my Lucifer -- when we fought in my world, we thought that God would come back, give us answers -- why He'd gone, what we'd done -- but, instead, do you know what happened? Nothing. No God. Nothing.
and then concludes with:
Michael Because He doesn't care! About you, me -- anything. Now, at first, I thought I'd do it better. Show Him. Be more God than God. But now... I just want to burn every one of His little worlds until I catch up to the old man.
Cas And then what?
Michael Even God can die.
Michael had done his duty, just as his Father had asked. He was loyal, and acted without questions with his own  - apparently with hope that his duty would be rewarded with answers. Michael didn't want a reward. He wanted answers. He wanted Dad.
And even when Michael killed the brother whom he considered closest, and none of that came, he... broke. In many ways, he became just as corrupted as Lucifer. This demonstrates that absence, without family or relationship or love  - that's the real kicker for turning someone evil. It proves that anyone could perhaps be saved, with a hand in love.
Back in season 2, John had told Dean he may need to kill Sam if he became evil. The question of what would have happened to Dean if he had done so is answered here, in Michael. He would have broke.
Michael represents a lot of Dean's inner turmoil and for most of the show they've been parallels to each other, in the same manner that Lucifer has paralleled Sam. But this is one that might not have been  considered until the latest episode. They will always end up here, Lucifer told Dean in the End!Verse. If Sam is lost to Dean, if Dean's hands are covered in blood, then he will break, and the world will burn.
But Michael got it wrong. Sam and Cas and Jack aren't burdens and responsibilities, they're his anchors. They're the ones that remind Dean who he is, that he always deserved to be save just as much as Sammy ever did.
Michael gets it wrong because he only ever followed duty. And when that was complete, and the action for which he'd given himself up to complete was offered no closure, no understanding of who he now was, he broke.
Just like the show opened with Dean and Sam looking for their Father who was missing, now Michael is looking for his own, too. But he doesn't have Sam. He doesn't have Cas, or Jack or Jody. He doesn't have family.
And what is faith without works, and works without love that is received - and returned?
tinkdw replied to your post âWell. so much for the "less filler since they only have 20 episodes...â
This anon wins the award for missing ALL OF THE POINT
Iâm so tired of that being the theme for this season so far.
Like, guys, if you are this bitter and salty and angry, maybe step back and look at it. If youâre looking at it wrong. If youâre watching out of habit rather than desire. If you are comparing it to fic/expectations and are disappointed itâs not.
Like, this much long-term stress, anger, etc, isnât healthy. Maybe figure out the cause so you can make things fun for you again.
tinkdw replied to your post âBTW, the anti-destiel fans responding to @sassycaslovesdean by sending...â
Idiotic stans of this show are the reason spn has a terrible rep. Fucks sake
Interesting isnât it how Destiel shippers are having reasonable discussion respecting Sam, Dean, and Casâs importance and the Sam stans are attacking the OP demeaning Dean not just Cas. Just Sam!!! ONly SaM is WoRThy To Be JaCkâs Dad!!!!11
So I went from responding to a meta post I felt was too slanted away from acknowledging Samâs role to being deeply ticked off at the greedy grabby hands of the Sam stans and Iâve seen plenty from Dean stans and Cas stans too Iâm just so done with the extremism from the sides and how it steamrollers canon. But the anti-destiel responses to this OP are the nastiest most divisive fan-bashing crude canon distortions prize...and I am not a bit shocked or surprised when I unpacked their comments to find hard core Samonly stans just beneath the posturing âWE LOVE 2 BrOTHErSâ surface.
