Vintage glass hand painted buttons dangle from old biscuit tin shapes that I cuts into semi circle droplets. I've loved working with this tin, with the embossing on it for added dimension. They are riveted to a backing piece that spells Container Made In England across it and the rivets are used as connectors. They're a happy rainbow pair of earrings that jingle jangle when you move. Hope you've all had a great weekend. It was a brilliant car boot sale at Allington today and I came back with a heap of unwanted junk to upcycled and repurpose into jewellery - including another toleware tin that I can't wait to work on. This was the last few bits of toleware that I had left which I turned into earrings and that are now available in my shop. Finally, these double-sided riveted earrings came together thanks to @fancifuldevices grungy resin opals tutorial. I couldn't get any of my glass, stone, bone or pearl beads to sit right at the base. Either they were too heavy or the wrong tones, didn't sit right or just didn't add anything to the mix - but thanks to a little shimmery resin alchemy, I did it! It’s been a wonderful weekend to chill the heck out, spend time with good friends and eat amazing home cooked food. And today I have felt the sparks of getting my creative mojo back with a completed make on the bench, produced without procrastination. Here’s a pair of earrings made from a Toleware tin, completed with salvaged pearls, Czech glass beads and grungy faux opals made using @fancifuldevices brilliant tutorial. What I like about her tutorial is that it’s allowing me to create the bead colours I am missing from my stash. I love the flexibility of that.
