Finally, these double-sided riveted earrings came together thanks to @fancifuldevices grungy resin opals tutorial. I couldn't get any of my glass, stone, bone or pearl beads to sit right at the base. Either they were too heavy or the wrong tones, didn't sit right or just didn't add anything to the mix - but thanks to a little shimmery resin alchemy, I did it! Gone full salvage with these tin earrings having just about saved the bird motifs with their wild colours interspersed with rust, grunge, scratches and what’s left of the gold patina.
