Saying a husbandâs full name out loud is super important and intimate in Llunaâs culture, and since sheâs saying it in her Andalusi Arabic, it makes her giggle. As we kinda know, Lluna does not âlikeâ to show her emotions, so she covers up for both these reasons đ€ sheâs silly

but the way the Arabs usually referred to someone called Baldwin was BardawÄ«l (as seen in a place name of the Bardawil lake âBuhayrat al-Bardawilâ in the Sinai peninsula, after Baldwin I (referenced in a chapter I published recently) or in the condolence letter from Saladin to Baldwin, or also Baghdawin (Baghdawin al-Abras: Baldwin The Leper), among other possible variations, like simply ۚۧÙŰŻÙÙÙ âBalduinâ as well. It depends on what language you are drawing from ofc; Latin (Balduinus/Baldvinvs), Old French/French (Baldoin/Bauduin/Baudouin), romançe French (Balduin), Occitain (BaudoĂŻn or Balduin as well, and more), etc.
Idk, but I like to use Baudouin even though it is more of a modern spelling (adding âouâ is an unnecessary modern spelling convention), but in the sense of sound I like it, not just for the recurring âheartbeat soundâ in HCW, but because it feels one of the more personal ways to address him, in contrast to the Latin, which feels more ceremonial. Might change some spellings in HCW like dropping that âouâ. And changing others, like Gui, Raimon⊠(I donât want people pronouncing their names in an English manner as they read lolll) like I changed Renaudâs âsurnameâ to Chastillon, the old spelling of ChĂątillon.
