the person behind the nonsense thread attempting to ‘prove’ the screenshot is real by lying about being an ICT student is also part of the gc. they’re a nicki minaj stan, which is why they chose a nicki lyric for the fake tweet.

A smear campaign is a coordinated effort to damage someone’s reputation by spreading false or misleading claims. It often uses influencers, bots, or coordinated accounts to amplify negativity until public backlash grows into a witch hunt.

Most people smearing her don't even care about the allegations, but want an excuse to bandwagon, bully, and spread misinfo. I've seen people label her everything from a racist to a pedophile or zoophile, making up additional accusations to justify their hatred bc the SA allegation isn't true.

Melanie has been outspoken about social issues through her whole career and has supported charitable causes, partnering with Love146 to make "A Million Men" directly supporting survivors of CSA. People accuse her of glamorizing kidnapping with "tag you're it" when the song is a fictionalized depiction of sexual harassment & fears she personally experienced as a teen artist being chased around by abusive old men at shows. (Timothy Heller said she was 'pandering' to those men, sounds like actual victim blaming to me)

she's not even an ageplayer, but I'd say about 98% of the people who actually participate in ageplay were victims of child abuse. People insist Melanie is satan while claiming she had a perfect, trauma-free upbringing which makes no sense if you know anything about psychology.

this also further proves that her rabid fanbase can't claim she's being "silenced" by her label anymore. they're so fucking pissed about this right now and there's nothing they can do to change it.
