I've seen a bunch of people make the argument that the twist in epilogue where they reveal terry to be bruce’s biological son negates the whole part about terry being a hero on his own terms (not to mention it's a trope that's been seriously overdone) and to be completely honest, I can't say I wholeheartedly disagree with either points
however, during the time that the episode aired, it was kind of insane to know that batman had a bio kid since damian hadn't existed yet. witnessing the whole thing unfold in real time was mindblowing as a kid who grew up on batman lore
