Bruce: You're here. With a moving van. Tim, are you moving back in?

Tim: Yeah, if it's alright with you, I wanted to move back. The boathouse was too small for my family.

Bruce: Of course, it's alright! I'm so happy you're back home and- family? What do you mean by family?

Tim: You remember Bernard?

Bruce: Your cultist boyfriend, yes.

Tim: Don't call him that! He isn't in the cult anymore!

Bruce: Sorry.

Tim: It's fine. Well, a couple of weeks ago, Bernard tried his hand at an old ritual a friend taught him.

Bruce: He did a ritual? That sounds like a cultist.

Tim: Stop it. Anyway, we didn't think it would work. So we may have mixed our blood together and used it as the main ingredient of the ritual. And it worked.

Bruce: Well I don't like that. What did the ritual do?

Tim: Offspring

Bruce: What?

Tim: It creats offspring. Supposedly it was to gain the power of gods of old and give them a body but all it did was mix our blood and created three children.

Bruce: Children?!

Tim: *gulps* Yeah....B, I like you to met my children. This is Danny, Dani-with a i- and Dan. Kids meet the man who raised me after my parents died, Bruce Wayne. *steps aside to reveal three 5 year olds, staring up at Bruce with glowing green eyes*

Danny: Hi

Dani: Sup

Dan: Greetings

Bruce:

Tim: I know, what you're thinking, and no they are not experiencing Pit Maddness. I tested them. They just have, very small amounts of the Ghost King's powers since the ritual belong to his domain. But they also inherited Bernard's cooking ability!

Bernard from the van: They also have Tim's gorgeous brain!

Bruce horrified: Oh no.

Dan: Hey, Mr. Bruce, how attached are you to the west wing of your manor?

Bruce: What?

Dani: If it was overrun by the undead would you mind?

Bruce: I-

Danny: Mr.Bruce, can I eat your fear. It looks....tasty.

Tim: They're just kidding.

Bruce: Oh. I thought-

Bernard: Yeah, they know that we don't make bombs, summon the dead or feed on the mentally weak until after dinner. Right kids?

Dan/Danny/Dani: Yes, sir.

Tim: And you have to finish all your brussel sprouts.

Dan/Danny/Dani: Yes, sir.

Bruce: .....Oh Tim, its so wonderful to have you home. Along with your brand of...adventures. Really. Im ecstatic.

Dan: *Point at Bruce* Your blood pressure just rose. Are you having a old person attack?

Danny: Dan! Its rude to call it that. Mr. Bruce is having a old person moment.

But i think out of all the characters to bring back for Tim to get with,Bernard is the funniest reading back on his introduction.

The first thing he does is check Tim out. Yeah he's saying he's doing it figure out what clique he be but 🤨 come on man.

I like to think Tim teases him about it sometimes.

Also-

Bernard first day they met:"Never try date any girl I like"

Tim, years later: Okay- but what about I try dating you?

Mainly cause I love the concept of Bernard

And while I’m sure DC will eventually give him more of a personality and storyline later down the line (gotta let him marinate like other characters)…

I wanna do it now

From what I’ve picked up on his original personality and stuff

⁃ he’s part of the elite/better off part of Gotham

⁃ He’s a conspiracy enthusiast

⁃ Joined a cult (prime earth stuff)

⁃ Knows really advanced kung fu

⁃ High expectations but he prefers video games

⁃ Closested AF

Yeah that’s all I got

But what got me interested was the idea that Gotham is kinda fucked up right?

9/10 kids who grow up in Gotham even in the elite will be messed up to some degree

Hence why he would learn kung fu, cause let’s be honest most of Gotham needs a self Defence course mandated in schools

And the whole conspiracy thing could be like his niche

Let’s say his family was part of the elite, but they weren’t always so well off

They joined in and are considered “new money” people who barely make the quota to be there at gatherings

= why parents have such high expectations of Bernard so as to keep their high standing

But imagine growing up in some slummier part of Gotham and hearing sirens and screaming almost every night

At some point you get used to it, and at some point you start to wonder why it’s happening

= murder mystery podcasts

Those unsolved cases of murder and violence

Bernard cannot go to sleep unless he hears some guy reading off a case and explaining how the murder happened and whether or not the killer is alive

He’s got his own conspiracy board filled with potential cases he does just for fun

The pressure sometimes gets to him though, living among the bourgeoise and all

So he hits up the arcade down in the city, maxing out his scores on everything

He only really does video gaming for the heck of it, blowing off steam and all

But there is one guy on the leaderboards he’s practically rivals with

All he puts as a name is “TD”

Depending on the week he might not even show up but when he does he somehow always blows Bernard’s scores way out of the water

But then he meets a guy

At some Gala hosted by the Wayne Foundation

And he meets Tim Drake-Wayne

Or re-meets

they used to be classmates at Gotham academy after all

But now?

Now Tim the cute but shy reclusive bookworm is the CEO of Wayne Enterprises, holding everyone’s attention all at once, rocking an amazing looking suit, and is also giving Bernard heart palpitations

In other words?

Way out of his league

Yet somehow

By some miracle

He comes over to talk to him

And they hit it off

At some point Bernard managed to make Tim laugh so hard he snorted his drink and had to excuse himself to wipe down his shirt

It was the highlight of Bernard’s night

And then a bunch of cultists raided the party

And kidnapped Bernard

Silver lining, he got rescued by Red Robin and he all those king fu lessons actually paid off

And subsequently somehow also got Tim Drake’s number
