If I had multiple lives I'd use one of them off myself in front of Tim Sweeney for shits and giggles
(For legal purposes this is a joke, I dont plan on getting off this stupid rock for at least another 60 years)
"You have to get this Scarlet Letter of AI attached to your product"
Oh fuck you Tim, you want to fire everyone and make paid Fortnite DLC with prompts and you don't want anyone asking why the fuck they should pay you for that.
"It hurts small devs because they can't spend a million dollars making one flower pot." THEY'RE NOT DOING THAT, TIM. Because they don't run a AAA studio that eats money. Not one of those people has ever said anything like this, because artists don't cheat. Now grifter scumbags who want to flood Steam with slop, oh boy!, they absolutely agree with you! Way to pick the winning side, Tim!
"I mean in a few years every game will be made with AI so why give a shit now?" No, in a few years all of YOUR stupid games will be made with AI. Other devs will choose not to. Sure, maybe the AAA market will be all slop. But that market is dying now anyway because you guys are already making overpriced, soulless garbage for gambling addicts. God forbid Steam lets me know what games were made by assholes pumping out trash. People like you, Tim.
Oh my god, fuck this guy.
Epic Games is cool with devs using AI images to make more paid content for Fortnite??
You mean Tim Sweeney doesn't fucking care about anything besides making more money as fast as possible?? And he's guessing that the unsupervised children he's extracting that money from don't care that he's making them pay for slop garbage he himself barely has to pay to make???
If you're surprised, you are one of these children.
And this dickhead has the nerve to whine about Gaben being a soulless rich guy.

*It's amazing what you can do with just a bit of text mode...
Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at ZZT, the game creation system made by Tim Sweeney which launched his startup company Potomac Computer Systems in 1991, which became Epic MegaGames the very next year.
Although ZZT is severely outdated compared to some other similar game creation systems, notably Megazeux, it came out at a time when the notion of a GCS hadn't really been realized and was mostly reserved for inventory based adventure titles. That said, there were still tons of fun games made for this thing and it's still neat to go back to it for sake of nostalgia, though anyone wanting to make a text mode based game and not wanting to have to deal with severe limitations is probably better off sticking with modern versions of Megazeux. :B*
I managed to hang on to my original entry point into ZZT creation for all these years, it being so dear to me. My main early creative outlets in the video game space were ZZT and Wolfenstein 3D modding tools. I've never lost my fondness for it.
ZZT by Anna Anthropy and published by Boss Fight Books is still available and highly recommended!
