I really hope everyone doesn't actually believe Eichel is responsible for the firing of Bylsma and Murray. The Pegulas know better than to let a 20 year old run their team (or at least I have faith that they do). It was obvious Bylsma wasn't a great fit for the locker room in Buffalo. Eichel wasn't the only one who had issues with him, about 6 other guys weren't too fond of him and Eichel stepped up and spoke on the team's behalf yesterday. Did the whole thing get blown out of proportion? Absolutely. But there was some merit to it, too. As for Murray... I feel like it was a good move. And it had nothing to do with Eichel's wishes. Let's face the facts here: Darcy Regier did more with the team and with less money than Murray has to throw around. Murray's only real accomplishments were the O'Reilly and Kane trades. Any GM could have drafted Reinhart and Eichel considering the state of the team. I can only hope Murray's replacement uses the resources they have to their full potential.

Tim Murray and Dan Bylsma have both been relieved of their duties. I'm shook.
