Today’s Fic is You Should See Me In A Crown by JazzKat1213 ( @tillykitty10) and it was updated on the 25th.
it’s a hurt/comfort canon au where Horde Prime takes his time getting to Etheria so Catra is taken “prisoner” by the rebellion. It’s incredibly angsty and well written with a care and intelligent view of catra’s recovery and redemption. It also has one of my favorite lines in catradora fanfic.
“All she knows is that she wants to replace every pain-soaked memory from her childhood with this moment; Adora defending her again, Adora growling at Shadow Weaver full of righteous fury for her.”
I literally think about that line daily. Fucking read this and then scream to me about it.

3. Favorite bad guy?
Overall I’d have to say Azula, she’s just so iconic and badass. She’s fascinating and terrifying in every scene she’s in!
But I also really love Zaheer - his ideologies and the Red Lotus were really interesting, and he finally showed the absolute destruction an airbender villain could cause.
35. Which character do you relate to most?
Probably Katara! With her kindness and stubbornness, but also with how much responsibility she had from her family. Also I’m definitely the mom friend lmao

Catra was not meant to be the Slayer. Not that she isn’t fucking good at it. But Adora shouldn’t have died in the first fucking place.

My favorite -- by far -- "what if" alternate timeline AU for Catradora has been completed! I really recommend it.
Two events are changed at the end of S4: Catra kills Hordak, and Horde Prime's arrival on Etheria is delayed. This is used as a springboard for Catra and Adora meeting when Catra is demolished, at her very lowest point; the trail they take after that is worthy of a novel -- and that novel is You Should See Me In A Crown.
