Lots of work in this copper cladded fireplace mantle. Taking beautifully flat sheets beating the hell out of them and then making them as flat as possible again, the. Welding the pieces together.... taking the warping from welding and making as flat as possible again... then adhering to the plywood substrate. Hammer hammer hammer. 2014 White Rock Scroll Railing: ⁣ Next out of the vault is this little ditty. Unfortunately I didn't prioritize documenting the making of this railing, so I dont have any progress photos to show you how it is put together, but basically... ⁣ ⁣ Theres one design through out the whole railing, including the gate. I forged and bent a couple hundred pieces of each scroll. Using 1/2" x 1/4" mild steel flatbar. I hung them on this cool adjustable rack I made, and then slice and diced them to fit, with a cut off wheel on an angle grinder.⁣ ⁣ All of the design panels are identical, which made things easy. There were 6 declining scrolls total. It was a lot of rail. Coffee table base ready for finish. I put the base on the cabinet upside down in the second photo so picture that whole thing flipped over and with drawers and it'll make sense.
