The deep-sea defenders are back! Super7 has officially unveiled TigerSharks ULTIMATES! Wave 1, a premium action figure line that brings the beloved 1987 animated series back to the surface. The first wave includes three iconic characters: the heroic Mako, the fierce Octavia, and the villainous T-Ray. Each 7-inch scale figure is highly articulated and packed with character-specific accessories, including interchangeable heads, hands, and weapons. The figures are priced at $64.99 USD each, but fans who order the full wave directly from Super7 will receive exclusive retro-inspired bonus portraits as part of the Super Pack. Originally produced by Rankin/Bass and paired with SilverHawks and ThunderCats, TigerSharks only aired for one season in 1987. Despite its short run, the show gained a cult following, and this new figure line marks the first major revival of the franchise in decades. Super7’s ULTIMATES! line is known for its collector-grade quality and nostalgic appeal, making this release a must-have for fans of vintage animation and 80s toy culture. The figures are expected to ship in November 2026, giving collectors plenty of time to prepare their display shelves—or aquariums.

Mako of The TigerSharks

In the distant future, a team of humans and aliens joined forces and developed a technology that enabled them to transform into fish and marine mammal hybrids.  They used this ability to become the TigerSharks and surveyed the primarily water-based planet known as Water-O.  Here the TigerSharks ended up serving as the protectors of the planet, defending the denizens of Water-O against the evil Mantannas led by the despotic T-Ray.  

Mako is the leader of the TigerSharks.  He has the ability to transform into a human/mako shark hybrid,  This bestows him super strength as well as the capacity to swim at high speeds.  Additionally, the fins on his forearms are highly durable and can cut through solid steel.
