2. video game crush: Medivh

before bg3's Gale of Waterdeep and Merlyn from The Once and Future King, i had Medivh of Karazhan, the Hot Wizard Sorcerer in My Area to ponder my orb🧙🔮. while my first encounters w him were in Warcraft 3 and WoW, his portrayal in the tie-in novel The Last Guardian ultimately stole my heart. unlike in the games, he actually read like a person with Feelings and Goals? enigmatic, unhinged, actually possessed, surprisingly goofy and relatable. he made me laugh then he made me cry. why didn't they let Khadgar hug him during their reunion in Legion. why

also golden: Medivh throwing shade @ Dalaran city for lining their aqueducts with lead? Merlyn whinging abt not having 'electric light and company’s water' in essentially medieval Britain? my beloved sassy spellshites, ahead of their times 👌👌

3. current crush: Astarion

nothing special here, just another casualty to the black hole of attraction that is bg3 Astarion Ancunín. the intrigue of his personal questline def played a part in captivating me, the catalyst for speedrunning my 1st playthrough to discover his fate in the epilogue.

that said, idk what it is about his face. it's like his character designer decided to distil beauty into tangible substance. he's MSG transmuted into humanoid form. idk what it is but i'm eating it up. thankyou Stephanie Chafe for this glorious meal 🙏
