Having finally caught myself a female Weedle to call Trillian, I have moved on. Just caught a Burmy, naming it >Tibnog< in honour of the world's most underground bug-type.

What is everyone's natures/characteristic?
(( Uhh... I'm not sure if that's something pokemon would really know about themselves, so it feels kind of odd answering it IC. I used to have natures listed on the sidebar, but took them off for that reason. I'm not really sure if pokemon would have a set nature in the "real" world, or if it would be something that could change as time goes on, either. If I had to pick one for everyone right now:Basil: Gentle nature, Likes to relax I guess? (none of the characteristics really fit...) Endive: Brave nature, Strong willed (ff that makes her sound so much cooler than she is...)Silvio: Hasty nature, Impetuous and silly (or "Loves to Eat")Tibnog: Sassy nature, Strongly defiantAkoret: Calm nature, Often lost in thoughtCheer: Adamant nature, Quick temperedToadstool: Impish nature, Highly persistent))
What are your pokemon abilities?
Endive: Trace, if you would believe it. It does not always work properly, however. It is difficult to explain. I think I sometimes... realize, subconsciously, that there is something about the other pokemon I do not understand, and my sensory system tries to shut it out before it has fully replicated whatever it was trying to Trace. I only experience others' emotions as physical sensations, as well, and struggle to comprehend them... I do not doubt the two things are connected.
Basil: <<Â Steadfast. It would have been Trace, as well. If I hadn't... you know. >>
Tibnog: Meh. Shed Skin, obviously. But boy did I make it special. *flaunts Burmy cloaks with plaid linings*Silvio: Ability? Uh, I can make jam? Jam making? Flavor expert? How do these work, do you make them up?

Tibnog finds out she likes something mainstream
(( SHATTERED.
Okay, not really. She'd probably be annoyed/upset at being grouped in with any sort of big stereotype, or big group of people who were into something, but she'd find a way to twist it around and make herself the special snowflake. xD ))
To Basil/Endive When is your birthday-or should i say hatchday?
Basil: << I hatched on the eighth of October! I remember one of the assistants at the breeding Center telling me that while I was watching her go through some records. >>
Endive: I hatched... not too long after him. It must have been around the end of October, though I do not know the exact date. Apparently, I hatched late. I suppose I was too comfortable in the egg to want to come out.
Silvio: 'Ey, 'ey! What about OUR birthdays? Mine is coming up, in fact! I believe it's on May thirty-second!
Tibnog: Even I have to admit that's a pretty unique date. I'm jealous. Have fun waiting for it to come around. Meanwhile, I think I won't bother mentioning mine. I don't need anyone throwing a party for me. Kind of overdone, ya know?
Basil: << I'm not in denial about how I physically evolved. I just feel more comfortable being associated in a different way. And while I've explained my preference, it isn't my choice what others call me, human, pokémon and machine alike.
...A pokédex can be a useful tool. It reads what we are, physically, and explains the general tendencies in a species... but it can't read who we are. It doesn't take long for most humans to realize that the pokémon they work with may not quite fit with what it says about them. >>
Tibnog: Yeah, that thing is a judgmental asshole. Bet it says something really stereotypical about Burmy, like that we're all obsessed with Honey and just hang around on trees like pathetic little ornaments.
