Day 1 (I think)
Day 1…...
As I lay across my bed and think about the day, I have had today I feel like I am mentally drained but there were some good things, but the bad things are overshadowing them. My son has Cystic Fibrosis, and he must go for injections every month for his allergies and get blood work. Now as you can imagine it’s hard for him because not only has got to get a shot in each arm but also blood work. It’s the time of month I feel like I go to war. But today was different of course he feared the shots but during blood draws he did not cry or fight light he usually does. Right there I was like have we finally conquered the blood drawing or is this just going to be the only time this happens. But maybe he is finally getting used to it now and it won’t feel so much like a battle.
After that uphill battle I managed to have a good day with my mom and my son and just enjoy the day. Getting some good food and just enjoying each other’s company made a rough start of my day better.
After what seemed like a perfect day, reality set back in…. My husband starts a new job on Monday in St. Louis, and I need to make sure we have working cars so that he can get to work and I can take the kids to school. Yes, I have 3 kids, and my life is constantly busy. But my batmobile (what I call my Rav4) has been having some issues. Took it to one shop, and they wanted me to drop it off on Sunday. I couldn’t do that my husband starts his job Monday and needs it. Went to another shop, and they will pick my car up tomorrow and see what is going on. They think it could be something small like a sensor, and I hope to God that it’s all that it needs. Told them I won’t get paid until next Friday to repair it, but he said he would pick it up and drop it off afterward. Fingers and toes and whatever else are crossed that it’s something minor. Now let’s take at my white stallion, aka my dodge. I need a new battery and can’t get a new one until next Friday. Why did it take forever to find someone to put the batterie in!!! As a Jaycee member, I had a member reach out and say he would help get it in for me!! Finally!!! I am hoping everything works out for my family and me next week.
