“Aaah,” Nicholass breathed aloud in satisfaction after expertly dismounting from his horse in one swift jumping motion and then starting to take a sweeping glance of his current surroundings. “Now this really a sight for sore eyes,” the tall Hightower lord exclaimed in slight relief and with a largely happy smile as he gratifyingly took in the splendour of the Red Keep. “As well as highly redolent for the affected noses such as mine,” Nick continued speaking aloud, not really caring who might be listening or if he might have offended a local with his clear dislike for the stench at the other parts of King’s Landing, especially at its borders. He was usually more easy-going than this, but truly, the odious stench of the capitol which had only further multiplied after Daenerys’s Targaryen’s horrific actions, was something the pampered Hightower truly couldn’t extend his usual patience for. It was something that the royal family should strive to amend as one of their first priorities especially if they were expecting a massive summit of guests to a monumental event such as this one. He then loudly breathed in a huge gulp of cleaner and very welcome fresher air inside the very heart of the capitol. Nick had started for his journey to Kings Landing well far ahead from the rest of his family members. He had even ditched his small entourage of a valet, a couple of personal guards and servants a day ago, in his excited haste to get to the event as soon as possible, telling his staff that they could sleep in and take their leisurely pace for the very last leg of the journey and that he could do quite well by himself for awhile. Especially since this little trip was nothing compared to the more longer and more challenging, but highly enjoyable adventurous trips he had taken to many other far places, sometimes even with only one companion or even by himself. Looking around, he then asked cheerfully, ”Pray, please do tell me that I have not missed the dinner feast just yet?”
