Hello, wonderful content creator!! There’s going to be quite a lot of text here, for which I apologise. I first came across Thronebreaker way back in 2018, and ever since then, at least once every six months, I find myself thinking about this brilliant game and getting a massive hyperfix on it...
And right now is exactly that sort of time. I stumbled across your blog and those of your fellow fans, and it’s just *a chef's kiss* I’m going to spend my nights reading all the fanfiction from now on

Personally, I would die for the theory that Gascon has at least a bit of a curly head of hair under his cap. And like to think that Villem's face looks more like Meve's, while Ansies is a carbon copy of his father (The only things he inherited from his mother were hair and eye colours lol)

And I would LOVE to share some headcanons, thank you so much for asking!
1) HELL YES I too am a curly-haired-Gascon truther. I think I have found a way to work this into almost every fic of mine he has made an appearance in (and everyone’s always getting their hands in his hair…). My other favourite Gascon features: dimples and tattoos…they make an appearance in my writing pretty often, too ;)
2) Meve’s boys: this one I actually go the other way round! I think both sons resemble their mother, but pretty Anséis is the mini-Meve and Villem perhaps more a mix of his parents. (The way I imagine Anséis is definitely based more off his Gwent art than his appearance in TW3, if that explains my thinking at all haha). I do think Anséis ends up taller than Villem eventually (to the older brother’s chagrin).
I actually have been working on some quite elaborate Villem head-canons that I am weaving into a couple of WIPs currently…watch this space…
3) Reynard, Man of 1000 Completely Different In-game Faces. It’s been said before but I’ll say it again, WHY IS HIS ART SO INCONSISTENT 😫 I think I like his gwent card art best — I love the detail, I love the scar on his chin and the way his hair is flopping a bit onto his forehead…
I like to think Reynard has a tinge of red in his hair, maybe more obvious when he was younger, and that if he doesn’t shave there’s a bit of ginger in his beard.
Thanks again for the ask (and ask again any time!). There will surely always be more TB content coming from me, these characters are truly my biggest inspiration (really, I’ve toyed with the idea of writing for my other fandoms but NOTHING has me in a creative chokehold the way this game does).
