“shawn, please,” gretchen practically begged and grabbed his hand, her big brown doe eyes glued to his, “it’s not what you think.” and regardless of the fact that she was technically innocent, she knew how bad it looked to have another guy in her bedroom alone. they really were only watching a movie and unfortunately the only place they had to sit was her bed. “you know i would never do that to you. you have to believe me.” still, the other male stayed in place with a smirk on his face as if the two had in fact done something behind his back. “please.”

plopping down across from the other at the table in the middle of the library, she slid a gift bag across the table. gretchen wasn’t sure whether the other even went as far as to consider her a friend but there was something about him that made her feel determined to get him to talk to her, to form some sort of relationship with her. “merry christmas.” she smiled, tilting her head as she watched him for a moment. “are you going to open it?”
