Leo was battling himself, torn between wanting to be there for Severus and keeping his ghostly presence unknown just like heâs been doing for the past four years. He wanted to just come up to Sev and just hug him and say all these things that youâre supposed to say -- itâs going to get better. time heals wounds. sheâs in a better place right now. But it was all BULLSHIT. And also, impossible. There was a reason why nobody knew (besides Dumbledore) that Leo came back as a ghost -- dead should remain dead. He wanted to let his family move on in peace, he didnât want them to suffer even more seeing how miserable he was right now. How much he hated himself and what heâs become. As he was floating through the castle corridors, he couldnât help but hear the hushed whispers among the students and staff. The Potters are dead. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named vanished. All of sorts of gossips. Some were happy because the danger was gone, some people were rightfully upset about Lilyâs and Jamesâs deaths. But Leon knew one person who was the most devastated with the news and who had nobody to comfort him. Leo didnât even notice when he flew into the potions classroom. He just stopped by the entrance, absolutely frozen, not knowing what to do. Anything in his little ghost body yelled to run away before Severus notices the change in temperature and sees him. But he couldnât, he just couldnât leave him like that all alone.
