Dorian isnāt required to be in the office much, but that doesnāt stop him from internally whining like a dramatic infant when he is. The office environment just stifles creativity, in his humble opinion, and heās reminded every minute heās there how badly he needs a book of his to take off so he doesnāt have to suffer through it anymore. As soon as noon rolls around, he pushes away from his desk, making a beeline for the break room. Heās not even hungry, but just the idea of getting away and being around other people for an hour or so appeals to him a great deal. But, when he gets there, there really arenāt any people... Just one.
Heās torn between two instincts. The first is his fight or flight response - heās scared out of his wits by recent revelations heās had about his relationship with Lisa, and that makes him want to turn right around and go back to work. But the second, the instinct to spend any amount of free time he can manage to scrounge up with her, is much stronger. And he doesnāt want to think about what that means.
Dorian gives in to the latter feeling, shaking the former off as best as he can. If heās going to give in and talk to her, heās going to do it right. He strides into the room, passing each and every empty table and chair in favor of the one right beside her. When he sits down, he kicks his feet up onto the table (he knows itās rude and improper, he just doesnāt care), leaning back and folding his hands in his lap. He merely looks at Lisa for a long moment, almost amused smile on his lips, before speaking.Ā āHowās your day been?ā He canāt help the way his gaze foolishly falls onto the ring on her finger; itās the biggest reason why this whole thing is so fucked up, to begin with.Ā
