@couldntbcloved liked for a starter from Emris
Emris had remained in Kirkwall. It was his home, for lack of a better word, and the people needed him there. Not to mention Varric needed someone to keep tabs on things he could trust while he was away in the south. Templars gone amok, blood mage abominations in the darkened alleys. It was far worse than before.
But not something he and Aveline couldn’t handle. And so he found himself in a precarious situation in the underbelly of the city, within the twists and turns of Darktown. He was thrown back into the sewer as the abomination stalked closer.
Who knew the lawless would become the law? In a quick motion, he kicked himself up onto his feet, avoiding a strike from the monster. He grabbed his bow and took aim, then realized a little girl was near. A qunari girl. The abomination seemed to notice as well, turning to her.
“No way,” Emris muttered, aiming the arrow right at its head. The arrow struck true but only caused the beast to stagger back. “I suggest you run, girl!” Emris ordered, pulling a knife from his belt and charging at it. “This isn’t a place for a little one!”
