Roxana and Kiba started the day at the dog park, trying to tire him just enough so she could leave him alone for a couple of hours without worrying about him destroying her house. Thankfully, a few other playful dogs joined, and Kiba naturally gravitated toward them. While she was there, a couple of unknown callers rang her phone. They didn't leave a voicemail, which unsettled Roxana. They could have been telemarketers or, worse, unwanted individuals with whom she had no interest. How did they get her unlisted phone number if it's the latter? Roxana was determined not to let this ruin her day, mainly since the annual Founder's Day festivities could be a welcome distraction. Back at home, Kiba obediently entered his pen, a rare occurrence. Roxana refused to lock him in a cage, which she found cruel. Roxana made the short walk to Main Street. Distant music and tempting food scents wafted toward her. She had eaten an early lunch but wouldn't mind something sweet to enjoy while hopping between booths and games. "Elephant ears?" she questioned as she approached a stall that sold various carnival-style treats. "What's an elephant ear?" she asked the person beside her. Yes, Google could answer the question, but he may have an idea. Or could be just as perplexed.
