it was always nice to see a familiar face and he couldn't help but smile, especially since it was a friendly one. "rachel," he started, his kids following close behind. "you here to adopt a pet too? i wasn't going to come but it's impossible to say no to these faces." he replied and motioned toward the little ones by his side. "i think the three of them have pretty much convinced me that we need a dog. i was kind of hoping that they'd want to go to the petting zoo instead. you know, a place where we leave the animals where they are." he added with a soft laugh.

the closer dominic stepped toward his sister's clinic, the more nervous he was about it. it wasn't the first time he'd stepped foot there. in fact, it was where he took his own kids but that didn't mean he'd seen the woman lately. in fact, he normally got his babysitter to take them to their appointments due to the fact that he was working more times than not during the day. he took in a deep breath and made it way inside, his feet carrying him right up to the front desk where he could see her talking to one of her receptionist. "mei," he spoke, trying to keep his voice from shaking. he knew she didn't want to see or talk to him but he needed to fix things. he needed his sister back in his life. "can i talk to you? please." he practically begged.

dominic debated longer than he should have on approaching the other. really, he wasn't going to. he still felt as though things were rocky when it came to his relationship with mei and the last thing that he wanted to do was to make things worse but after a minute of overthinking everything that could potentially go wrong, he approached his sister's wife. "long time, no see," he started, pausing for a moment longer. he wasn't sure what else to say. i'm sorry for skipping your wedding. i'm sorry for letting my parents come between us. neither of those things left his lips. instead, he offered a somewhat small smile, "i-you know, should thank you for being there for mei all these years." the years he wasn't. "i'm glad she has you."

the kids had insisted on going to the petting zoo and he was all for it, and normally he could even handle them on his own but the three of them seemed a little out of control this time around. dominic honestly couldn't have been more thankful when he managed to run into a familiar face, "ingrid," he breathed out in almost a defeated tone, "i know you're probably here to have a good time and you're definitely not on duty but do you think that you could give me a hand? just until i make it to the concession stand and get some food in their bellies. i think they all might be hungry."

there was no doubt about the fact that it was hot out there but regardless of heat that seemed to be beating down on them, he was determined to win the charity baseball game. he wasn't competitive with anything other than sports, even when he shouldn't be because this was all just for fun at the end of the day. well, that and to raise some money. even so, he couldn't wrap his head around that in this moment. "alright, ash. we're counting on you. you knock this one out of the park and the game is ours."

he recognized her from their run in at condom sense and he couldn't help but let out chuckle, his hand coming up to scratch the back of his neck in a somewhat awkward manner. "so, we meet again," he started. the last place dominic expected to run into aarti was on the dancefloor and really, he hadn't shown up to dance but to buy raffle tickets. he didn't really want to win but he did like throwing money out to the community as much as he could. "you up for busting a move or were you just passing through?"
