My Thoughts on.. №13: Apologies. People are or feel forced to say sorry for anything or everything far too often. I think sincere apologies can only be made with actual remorse, after proper self-reflection and change of heart. Otherwise it might be better to keep quiet or to share your perspective and honest thoughts on the matter, instead of asking for forgiveness as quick as possible just because some people seem to demand it and because you think your image needs to be rescued or restored. Also, I think people and companies that are related but not responsible should by no means be targeted or feel the need to apologize for or on behalf of anyone.

My Thoughts on.. №9: Juries. Whether in court or in sports competitions, I don't think such verdicts should be up for debate. In the past, it made sense to rely on the wisdom of crowds in those situations, for that arguably being the most fair. Nowadays, technology is able to help make determinations much better than any group of people possibly could. Still relying on that group of people to determine whether something is or is not a certain way, and to what extent, does not make sense to me, in a system that is supposed to be the most just. If needed, like in case something is inconclusive or not yet regulated, the governing body could step in.

My Thoughts on.. №14: Assault. Not only is it bad in the moment, it can also do permanent damage to generations to come. Victims of any type of assault should be taken serious, no matter who they are and no matter how long ago it has taken place. I really hope they find proper closure through law enforcement and through therapy. There is absolutely no shame in that. There couldn't be enough shame, however, in people making false accusations, ones taking their stories to mass media before even considering filing an actual report, and ones thinking that any uncomfortable experience makes for assault and should be shared as such.
