This alias is confirmed by Miranda herself, who publicly acknowledged that she owned and operated the original archae-heart blog (along with the sweetgrass-soul and mountain-spirits accounts) and that she plagiarized photographs. She also posted at least one identifiable photo of herself during the time she was active on the account (shown above).
While using this alias, Miranda fabricated a number of elaborate claims about her life. These included presenting herself as an archaeologist living on a homestead in Maine, married to a wealthy British man, with three children and another on the way. (She adopted this persona under other aliases, including sweetgrass-soul and mountain-spirits on Tumblr and thoughtsforbirds on Reddit, providing further verification of her affiliation with those aliases).
More disturbingly, she falsely claimed affiliation with the Mescalero Apache tribe and regularly posted images stolen from other artists, passing them off as her own original photography. After being exposed for plagiarism, Miranda deactivated the blog.
