I’m going to be honest. I don’t know what his dating situation is. I would absolutely love for him to be with Caitriona. I don’t know that he is. That stinks because he really does seem genuine when he is with her. I still enjoy your blog and appreciate what you have to say. I do NOT appreciate P’s blog and believe she is a stalker.
If I may still be bold and write this to him.
Sam-please please please stop. There are people who do actually care about you and not in a stalker or worshipful way. For me, it’s because I genuinely care about people. You look absolutely miserable and like you are being held hostage. I don’t know what is going on but your light is gone. You’re coming across as erratic, panicky, scared, and unhappy. Who you are deep down matters. I hope you can take some time to be alone with yourself and learn to be comfortable in that without having to perform. That it would ignite a spark of joy in you that would overflow naturally. Performing all the time is exhausting. I know from experience. It’s hard work to be in that space and it can be very lonely. But it is worth it to live life more authentically and peacefully. There are going to be people who don’t like you no matter what you do. That doesn’t matter if you are being who you really are deep down.
I really, emphatically appreciate your honesty and your constructive approach. You know, we don't have to agree on everything and the last year shifted the waters in this fandom like no other ever before. I think we learned a lot from this Madam Mao side plot. The most important things being perhaps to listen, then talk to each other. And maybe even to consider taking into account what the other person has to share, even if it comes across virtual, yet very present trench lines.
As far as SC go, it's not always about 'knowing'. It's also about searching and if the two consistently tell a powerful story that can be backed with facts, then you can begin to think you are onto something interesting. Clues are often scattered in plain sight - the best place to hide anything, as a fellow diplomat once taught me.
I think this is a very positive shift, overall.
But enough of me babbling. I'll shut up, now - and let your very thoughtful plea shine.
