What does it mean, “We are All One”?Â
When it comes to people, practice imagining ourselves as a reflection of one another, where different versions of ourselves are being expressed. It is not to say we are not our own individuals, with our own thoughts, wants and needs... But when you start to think of others as a reflection of your being, and practice love and acceptance, your perspective will evolve. If we were to put ourselves in each other’s shoes, we may realize there isn’t much separating us other than perhaps our circumstances. Our perspective is related to the vibration in which we function, and this vibration will affect how you live your life. (Law of attraction is what happens in your life, law of vibration is how.) Our perspective is also how we view the quality of our life. If you imagine our interactions as “receptors” and “binders”, there needs to be an element of relativity between two or more people for energy to be expressed and conducted between. Everything that happens during a interaction has a purpose. Energy is self preserving; it is never wasted.Â
A great way to practice love and acceptance is finding common ground. Listing positive aspects of other people, lifting each other up, understanding one another, lending a hand... help reinforce your own positive attributes of the self.
The notion that we are all different versions of ourselves being expressed can also be applied to the animate and inanimate. With nature, we both “grow”. We need the proper nourishment and circumstance(s) to flourish. If neglected, we perish. Our commonality of cells, processing, multiplying... transforming. That is why connecting with nature is a great way to “replenish” ourselves and, even, remember of our capabilities. Also of our limitations but unlike a tree, if we don’t like something, we can move. For the inanimate, well, we can remember everything is mostly composed of carbon. A piece of paper, our phones... alone can’t do much but has its purpose. These things we must also respect and be grateful for. Fire, water and other elements are by definition considered inanimate but can also appear to have a life of their own.
For the metaphysical and esoteric, I’ll be honest, I’m still learning. And a part of me believes it’s something we all know about already but maybe become aware of more precisely throughout our lives. I think this is where most of our connections take place, like a laboratory full of experiments. I believe this is where the spark of life carries.
So, in general, the Law of Divine Oneness commends everything and everyone as carrying a soul or Soul. When we create - music, food, art, technology, life! - it carries soul. When we are created, by other forces, we posses soul.
We design life and life designs us back ❀
