In hindsight Thor 2011 had Kenneth Branagh directing Tom Hiddleston and Tadanobu Asano in a fantasy movie involving mythology and Shakespearean tragedy. Of course my teenage self absolutely devoured that film.
This is honestly one of the best songs I've ever found that could fit Loki's breakdown at the end of Thor 1. imo. the slow build to the screeching guitar and the increasingly desperate vocals. the defensiveness combined with suicidiality veering into pleading veering into anger veering back into crying for some kind of help and then ending with 'i'm gonna regret this forever. forever. forever. forever' my fucking god. mwah

thor 2011 is so crazy, structurally speaking. the heart of the story is thor on earth, learning the value of love and friendship and kindness and duty, and meanwhile the b-plot has his brother reenacting both sides of the cuban missile crisis.
Loki raised on Jotunheim au where he managed to tame/train a giant of this species and so manages to get some status/respect despite being a disappointment of a firstborn (or maybe they function like targ dragons and the one given to baby Loki grew to be a giant).
