Rewatched Thor: the Dark World for the first time in years and honestly itās not even a bad movie, itās just the last 15-20 minutes that suck. Malekith is boring and the dark elves are whatever but itās a lot of fun. Iām biased as fuck but Loki honestly carried the movie and it drops off after his ādeath sceneā tbh. Even my boyfriend was going to leave the room after he died if thatās any indicator LMAO (I asked him to stay and finish it with me tho esp cause heād never seen Thor 2 before).
Idk. Itās fun and really pretty and I think it gets a worse rap than it deserves.

rewatching random mcu movies to feel something and gotta say. idk why i used to get so sad whenever loki died. objectively its kinda fucking hilarious. he sees the opportunity to do it and immediately reverts to plan A - Pretend To Die. and thor falls for it every time so its an added bonus.
and odin being the nicest onscreen and it was actually LOKI ALL ALONG...
Thor 2! trucking along this list. I am skipping Agents of SHIELD S1 just because I...don't care about it. I've seen it twice before, and I'm doing this for myself :) I have less to say about this movie because it's mostly fight scenes and Jane falling into the plot.
Odin always slaps
- doesnāt take Lokiās shit
- if human lives are so fleeting, why not just wait out Janeās death?
- if anything, the experience would be humbling and mature him
Thorās hair is a lot better in this one
I like his braids
JANE
falls into the plot, not by doing any science or research herself
once again, is reduced to āyour mortalā
Remembering she was barely mentioned in Avengers when SHIELD needed to get Thor to stay
she has every right to be mad at him
You can tell that Loki is Odin because he refers to her as āthe woman [Thor] lovesā which is more respectful than how any other Asgardian refers to her
Heimdall is again the best character
deserved his own movie
Frigga is a much bigger character in this movie
she is who had taught Loki all of his magic, so itās nice to see her use it
Malekith stabbing the Aether into that guy was so very homoerotic
not that Iām complaining
much to think about
I love crazy Erik. Give the genius a break
āitās simpleā
heist movie
Loki is so good in this movie too
āMother wouldnāt want us to fight.ā āā¦well, she wouldnāt exactly be surprised.ā
ātrust my rageā
Loki dies for the second time this one. heās fine. moving on.
The Collector is such an important character in the comics

This quote is from Doctor Who, in reference for Clara Oswald. However.
I believe it 100% applies to Friggaās death in Thor: The Dark World.
Frigga died for who she was and who she loved. She loved her son, Thor, and, by extension, she loved the mortal he had fallen in love with, no matter Janeās lifespan (or lack thereof). She stood for her people. She stood for the light. She stood against the oncoming darkness and she stood against those who sought to harm her sonās beloved.
She fell where she stood. She died knowing that she had kept Jane safe. She died knowing that her son would honor her sacrifice. She sacrificed herself, infuriating the bad guys in the process, and delaying their hostile takeover of the universe. She died with a smirk of defiance against her enemies.
It was sad. Her death was mourned by all of Asgard. Her life was over and her story was finished. She breathed her last and she was no more.
And it was beautiful. She didnāt even think about prolonging her life by aiding the forces of darkness. She didnāt hesitate to stand by her convictions. She died with honor. With grace. With regal dignity.
And itās over. Thor sought to change her fate later, but she didnāt want to hear it.
She knew the role she had to play, and she did it without selfishness or remorse. We have no right to change who she was.
āWho I am is where I stand. Where I stand is where I fall.ā
As far as deaths go⦠we all have to die someday. I can only wish that I could have as much meaning and purpose and intentionality in my death as Frigga had in hers.
