Medieval! Wilhelm
Brother Wilhelm Mandorf is a native of German lands, he is about 55 years old and he is a Benedictine monk. He knows perfectly well what is written in the papers. He knows a lot about history (by the standards of the Middle Ages) so you can contact Willy for these questions.Wilhelm has a habit of silently adjusting his glasses when he is unhappy.
His desk (like Lorenzo's) is the only place where it's perfectly clean. He loves the infusion of medicinal herbs that Brother Aldo finds. He often spends the night in the scriptorium. He also writes beautifully in German and Latin. Has a collection of stones. It calms him down.
His relationship (briefly):
Tomaso Lorenzo is deeply respected. He knows that the abbot is an honest man. Sometimes they peacefully argue about the interpretation of documents.
Brother Raimondo is a colleague. Raimondo is a junior clerk and a pupil of William.
Vincenzo Benitez — curiosity. Mandorf had heard from the abbot about the nomad, but had not personally seen Benitez.
Sister Agnes is neutrally cold. The abbess is suspicious of the male clerk, as she believes that he can forge documents. He, in turn, does not seek the company of a strange woman. It is limited only to polite greetings.
Goffredo di Tedesco — William is careful with the inquisitor. He knows perfectly well that trust in this person rests only on the mood of the second.
Sometimes I'm doing something depraved and desperate and think damn Thomas would probably do this too.

I feel so utterly maternal over Cardinal Lawrence it makes me want to die. Ralph Fiennes is so endearingly pathetic, so strangely lovable, so dear in this role - I can’t I can’t i cant, I need to hug him and kiss him and tell him that this too shall pass, that he is going to be okay, truly
