Support the Artists
We at WANDER love supporting artists and any way we can help them back their projects. Being a professional artist is no different than any other paid labour. Many artists have gone to art school, spent plenty of time and money taking classes, improving skills, purchasing equipment, and even need money for gas so they can share their adventures with us. The best way we can help them is by promoting both their digital and physical creations.
If you have a project you’d like to share with our audience, please submit it to us via email, and we’ll get back to you. We’re looking for material such as photography prints, books, movies etc. Things that were made by you.

Requirements:
You must be uploading your work to Tumblr and/or Instagram on a regular basis.
You need to be an original artist.
We publish landscape photography, but make some exceptions.
You need to have a collection of artwork so that we can post a photo-set containing several images.
If you’d like to submit photos to us, please make sure that they are at least 1280px wide whether landscape or portrait.

Introducing our New Submission Page!
Lately we’ve released different ways you can submit to thisiswander. As well as submitting your portfolio for a general feature, we’ve opened up submissions for What’s in your Adventure Backpack? and Words of a Wanderer.
What’s in your Adventure Backpack? will allow you to share with us and our readers your backpack and its contents. This is a great way to show what tools go into the work you create!
And Words of a Wanderer allows you to submit a single image along with a story about that particular moment. This gives a chance for you creative writers to get in touch with your photographic side, and vice versa.

Travelling can bring us to some of the most beautiful places in the world. We’ll meet the most interesting people and along the way, life will share with us some of the most memorable experiences. Wander is looking for your stories, your experiences, and your moments.

What’s in your Adventure Backpack?
We’re used to seeing the amazing photographs you all produce when backpacking through the wilderness or roaming around city centres. We’d now like to see the other half of the adventure - what you bring with you when you’re travelling.
Submit your photos to us via email, and we’ll consider posting it to WANDER.
What we need:
An overhead photo of your backpack with contents of what you take with you on your adventures (1200px wide minimum).

What are some of the challenges you face shooting landscapes in the desert and what’s your favourite feature about it?
The desert can often be a hot and desolate place so finding a good shot is both physically and artistically challenging. Most of the time I have to hike to the perfect spot and navigating the rugged terrain, but it always pays off. My favourite feature, however, is the desert life and mountains. They are very unique compared to a lot of the temperate, pine forest, high elevation mountain terrains. With species of cacti indigenous to Arizona only, sheer cliff faces and rough mountains, the desert is provided with a very intense, harsh beauty.
Where do you think your photography will take you next?
Hopefully my photography will take me around the world. I would love to travel and get to shoot new places. As well as travel, I would love to be able to eventually own a gallery and make a transition from just shooting landscapes to landscapes and perhaps photographic journalism.
