Everyone has their preferences so I’m not trying to judge anyone but dear god why are there so many fics where Andrew plays exy but Neil doesn’t, and almost no fics the other way around??
I can forgive the ones where it’s because Neil is injured and can’t play because atleast that’s a reasonable explanation (although I’ll almost never read those because Neil not being able to play exy due to an injury is like heartbreaking).
I don’t understand any of the other ones because I can’t really imagine a world where he wouldn’t be obsessed with playing exy, and since Andrew does play in the fic, I don’t see why Neil can’t be playing.
I also don’t understand why this is such a common theme, when Andrew is the one who could give less of a shit about exy, whereas Neil is obsessed. Why would Andrew play, especially professionally, when canonically Neil is one of the only things that actually makes the game interesting. He signs at palmetto so that Aaron and Nicky can also get a sports scholarship, but why would he play beyond university? And why isn’t Neil playing hello—
I’m confused.
Here birdies, come get your breadcrumbs brainrot.
This ones pitifully soft for you guys.
Imagine a sizey dynmamic where they've just gotten used to eachother. My mind immediately goes to human/borrower given some cultural differences that could come into play but really this works with any sizey dynamic.
So the pair has gotten to the point where they're comfortable with touch. The borrower testing their limits, walking on them, sitting on them etc. They find hands especially comfortable with how soft they are.
The human is lounging on a couch, one leg handing off, and the borrower, instead of asking to be lifted up, just does things the borrower way and climbs their pantleg up. They go to walk up to the humans chest to strike up a conversation but fall short as they reach the abdomen.
Oh.
It's soft.
Frankly unless the person is absolutely shredded to the gills, most body types are gonna have at least some softness, especially at that size, so this scenario can fit a myriad of body types.
They, possibly a bit too comfortable with the human, and not at all familiar with what might be a bit awkward, flop down saying something particularly embarrassing like "Oh- you are soft."
Maybe borrowers like softer/heavier frames, maybe due to their small size they don't hold weight very long- but regardless, they don't see the act as intimate or embarrassing (whichever avenue you're heart wants).
Perhaps the human is a bit insecure, or maybe its just something so out of the blue and oddly intimate that they are just flustered to max. They try to move their friend, but now that an area has been put off limits?? Its far more enticing to the borrower, who's now dubbed it their favorite spot.
"Noooo! It's comfy!"
The human is red. Face burning all the way up to the tips of their ears.
When they realizes it flusters their friend?? Even better. They get a little rise out of the way they squirm, not used to feeling like the one that holds all the chips.
YOU GUYS SEE THE VISON?? YOU GUYS PICKING THIS UP???
UGH. Gimme.

Just had a surreal and disturbing fandom interaction and I feel like I have to talk about because??? What the fuck?
So I’m on a different site, not gonna name it cause it would probably be easy to find and I don’t want anyone to harass this person. The discussion topic at hand is whether it was poor form on the writer’s part to include Jet and Hama’s storylines, because they could be seen as villainizing resistance fighters.
This person claims that Jet did nothing wrong, and that colonizers deserve what’s coming to them. I put aside the fact that this person is ok with killing adult civilians- also fucked up- and point out there were children in the village he was going to drown. Surely they don’t believe that the children of colonizers are born evil and deserve to die?
In the first line of their incredibly long-winded response, they accuse me of being a Zionist and an Israel sympathizer. And double down on it being ok to kill “colonizer” children because their colonizer parents were the ones who put them in harm’s way.
I just… god the fandom sniping over what’s a problematic colonizer ship is one thing… I’m kind of reeling at this person implicitly justifying- maybe advocating for?- the murder of actual real life Israeli children.
To be clear- and it’s exhausting that I ALWAYS have to clarify this as a person of Jewish heritage, but whatever- I’m not on Israel’s side. They are committing a genocide. It is not antisemitic to criticize and name what they are doing. What IS antisemitic is saying it’s ok to kill Jewish children.
I don’t know if this person was radicalized on the fandom side, or on the political side. I just know the fandom needs to fucking do better.
