aerion as a concept pisses me off so I've created nine circles of personal hell in my head just to torment him and one of them includes a modern au setting where he has this godawful awkward crush on his brother's boyfriend (dunk) and it amuses daeron to no end. like he doesn't even register aerion as a threat, he thinks it's funny as hell. dunk is oblivious and is just naturally friendly to anyone in daeron's family (excluding maekar who he's deathly afraid of). at some point aerion needed to get braces and he's not handling it well bc he's a little vain. something aegon said sets him off at some point and now he's all huffy, dunk swoops him and tells him not to worry because he's pretty enough and aerion, in his own 'trying way too hard to be aloof for a fifteen year old' way, was like "really???". dunk is like "yeah, if daeron is anything to go by, you'll grow into your looks". aerion refused to speak to dunk for almost a year after that.
