It is, in a word, evil. What we are up against is evil, and we must name it as such. The thing that we are fighting against in this society is all part of the same system. You know, the leftists will talk about this structure, and that power structure.

Like our counterparts on the left who don't believe in a God and don't believe in the afterlife, because we understand that Allah has promised victory to the truth. We understand that as big and bad as the forces are that we're up against today, there have been big and bad forces or even bigger and badder forces that have been allowed to triumph temporarily in the past in order for Allah to take his martyrs and Allah to demonstrate who really believes when the times get tough, when things get hard, who's going to stand up and be a hero.

We have the obligation, we come under the command of the Prophet, whoever among you sees munkar [evil, wrong], sees an evil, then he must what? Change it with your hand. You have to change it with your hand first.

It required a type of action. It required a type of Shahada. We'll be, Alhamdulillah, leading the world as Muslims and Islam should be.

It is narrated on the authority of Tariq b. Shihab: It was Marwan who initiated (the practice) of delivering khutbah (address) before the prayer on the 'Id day. A man stood up and said: Prayer should precede khutbah. He (Marwan) remarked, This (practice) has been done away with. Upon this Abu Sa'id remarked: This man has performed (his duty) laid on him. I heard the Messenger of Allah as saying: He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is the least of faith.

America, okay, if we don't want them to implement secularism, so what do we want them to implement?

They say that America now, okay, there is not enough Muslims and for them to implement Islam. But now, it is our challenge as du'at, as intellectuals, as academics, to present solutions based on Islamic values but in the second level degree, not to tell them "replace secularism with Islam." It won't work.

Presenting Islam as a civilizational alternative, this needs from us different way of addressing this generation, addressing, in fact, the whole world.

Trying to get into key positions where you are influencing the decisions and decision making. If we are, whatever we do, and we are not influentials, we cannot influence the– how politics is running. We are not influencing the decision making processes.

We know that if we were to do this from zero to 100, the people are gonna say no. We're not gonna have this– and people understand, they're not gonna go from zero to 100 overnight. Suppose a Muslim party, an Islamic party comes in and they start changing and, you know what, we want to make sure there's no alcohol being sold. So, can we, for the time being, cause here's the point - any type of stuff we do is not stuff for Allah, substitute the Sharia. No. It's a program to eventually apply the Sharia, right?

Islam is the solution for America. It's the only way for America to redeem itself.

Islam is America's future, or without Islam, America will meet its demise.

Islam is great for America. I believe one day we have 30, 40, and 50 Muslim members in the Congress of the United States of America. The Constitution is made by man. Can be changed by men.

The election of somebody like Mamdani… it is a game changer. We need somebody like Mamdani to be the mayor of New York, and that is a victory for the ummah [Muslim nation].

The way that the political system is set up in the United States, the Constitution is plastic. The Constitution was meant to be reinterpreted.

You're only looking at today. You're not thinking 30, 40, 50 years ahead.

You have to think strategic. We have to think in generations.

Sometimes the most impactful solutions take years, maybe decades. They continue to build in Medina, and then when they were ready, then the opportunity came and Allah gave them the clear victory. This is long-term thinking, long-term solution.

Islamicize being American. That is actually what we are supposed to be doing anywhere we go, is to bring Islam to regulate the society according to divine law and purpose. And that's not something we should be shy of claiming and promoting in the world.

Go take by the authority of the law of God. Take what is yours. We live in a country that allows us to take, and we can fight for it.

You're allowed to come up with your mastermind plan to take over the country.

We don't accept being part of the system. We have to accept that Allah commands us to change and replace this system. Islam is jihad. Islam is a social system. Islam is a political system. It has to aim at establishing a state under which the rule of Allah will be supreme.

In a Muslim country someday, inshallah, people look at us with skepticism. But the reality is, that's our goal.

Islam has a second round where Islam will rule the world again.

Interviewer: What had you been taught up until that point and what are the Islamic schools teaching young kids?

Nonie Darwish: There's cursing of the infidels and cursing of the Jews almost all the time at the end of the sermon. "May God destroy the infidels and the Jews, the enemies of God." We'd hear that very commonly and believe it or not, it used to sound normal. It sounded normal. Because when you grow up on it all the time, you think this is right.

Interviewer: This is in the textbooks, isn't it? I mean, this is in the textbooks. This is what they learn.

Darwish: It's in the textbooks, and it's in the preaching of holy men in the mosque. There is something every American must understand, after 9/11 especially, that there is nothing that America has or has not done that causes terrorism.

Terrorism is violent jihad, and it's the duty of every Muslim. And that's why many Muslims are silent. Because they feel if they speak against terrorism, then they must be speaking against jihad. And that's why they have a conflict to speak out. And that's why Americans should never doubt their own value system or their own country or their even own foreign policy.

Interviewer: Well, you make a good point too, because after 9/11 and after some of the horrible things that we've seen on the news with the killing of Daniel Pearl, the journalist, we think, is it something about us? Why do they hate us so much? Why are we this great enemy? And it really is just...

Darwish: It is, we have an open system, and they have a closed system. Their existence here is their right to Islamize us. That's how they view us. They are here because they feel they want to Islamize us, and they give us no access into their country. Absolutely, if our... they consider non-Muslims as filth on their land. It's called najis [unclean, filth]. And that's why when our soldiers, American soldiers, went to feed the hungry in Somalia, instead of being appreciated, these people were starving by their own government. Muslim against Muslim brutality. America was in Somalia not because they wanted to occupy Somalia. They wanted to feed the hungry. And what did we get for this? We didn't get a thank you from the Muslim world or from the Arab street. But our soldiers were dragged, tortured, and killed.

Interviewer: We hear about the Islamic, the Muslim mosques in America and think, no big deal, it's just practicing religion. But it really is a breeding ground for terrorism, isn't it?

Darwish: It's true. A lot of people think Islam is just a religion. There is a major part in Islamic education, or even the main part, is conquering the world to Islam. It is the utmost honor for every Muslim to believe in jihad, and it's done through jihad, through the sword, actually. And if you look at the Saudi flag, it has a sword on it, and it's the symbol of opening countries to the sword, opening countries through the sword.

Interviewer: Do Americans get this?

Darwish: No.

Interviewer: Why not?

Darwish: Because we judge everybody by our own value system. We have to understand that we have an open society, an open democracy. We give access to all nations into our country in America, but we have no access into the Arab world, into the Middle East. They come here, and they are welcomed as citizens right away. They open their mosques. They preach even violence and jihad. When I attended two mosques in America after I moved here, I was told we are not here to assimilate in America. We are in America to spread Islam and to change the Constitution of the United States to the Quran.

Reminder that the Kaaba is – or was – not unique.

And it was always a pagan site. Muslims still practice those same pagan rituals, such as tawaf – that is, circumambulating the Kaaba.

And the true believer knows that none of this is in vain, that this is all jihad, that this is all ibadah [worship, obedience, submission], and that this is all counted for by Allah.

And so, the conversation of doxing, the conversation of getting arrested and suspended, I think it's time for Muslims to start to say, alright, alright, so what? Do what you want. I'mma do what I gotta do because it's about time to do that. And I know everybody has their own families and has an education and everything.

Just a question. We don't wanna get doxed, and we don't wanna get suspended, and we don't wanna get arrested. How gangsta are you? That's just my question. How much are you willing to do it? And I know everyone has their own risk levels, but at the end of the day, that's a question to ask ourselves. How committed am I to this? To what extent of my personal, material gains am I willing to sacrifice for this bigger, noble cause?

And, I truly believe that when your heart is in the right place, if you get suspended, if you get doxed, because it's bound to happen when you're doing a righteous cause and when you're doing something for the sake of Allah here in the West, it will never ever be in vain. And the true believer does not fear that, because the true believer knows.
