AND THEN YOU GO ON A HUNT FOR THE DAGGER.
WHERE SHE'S LOOKING AT THE GROUND WHERE HE LAY BLEEDING OUT, TRYING TO PSYCH HERSELF UP.
AND THROUGHOUT THE HUNT, SHE'S *FIXATED* ON FINDING THE DAGGER THAT STABBED HER FRIEND.

Her dialogue when you take her out to practice her new stone magic has her talking obliquely about how she could have protected the people who matter omfg are all of you playing this game with your ears plugged??
She mentions Varric several times in the beginning of the game and either Rook or Neve have to say "he knew the cost" and Rook doesn't realize it was the ultimate one because SOLAS IS MANIPULATING THEM. BUT HARDING KNOWS AND IS GRIEVING HIM AND ROOK DOESN'T KNOW IT.
I am so fucking tired of y'all talking about how "soft" she is. Get behind me Harding even though you don't need my defense. This woman was ready to shoot Solas right between the eyes in the middle of a ritual when he was full up on all his magic if Rook had given her even an inch, just because he wasn't listening to Varric or stopping his genocidal BS.
