You know what I just realised? If everyone, or at least most people opt out of third-party sharing, who's left on Tumblr for AI to creep on?
Porn bots
They will be training their AI on porn bots
I repeat: There will be a whole-ass AI model owned by Midjourney that has been presented porn bots as the blueprint of human behaviour
So guys, go to blog settings -> visibility -> prevent third-party sharing for [blog name], and cost those companies fucking bazillions of dollars on having to prevent their AI from sending AI-generated dick picks to random users. Go!!! Do it!!!
i think, after turning on the setting that prevents tumblr from selling ur posts to ai trainers, everyone should also make another, silly little blog, where you don't turn it on and then just post absolute gobbledygook garbage that makes no sense, maybe throw in some nightshaded images or whatever that ai poisoner is called i think it'd be fun! if we all band together in this we can collectively destroy ai in the process. the history books will look back on this site that was known as tumblr and rejoice

Just figured out that if you have sideblogs then third party sharing doesn’t automatically turn off for them if you turn them off for your main blog. So go make sure your side blogs have third party sharing turned off

Uhhh I don’t know when this setting popped up but uhhh I think definitely make sure it’s switched on if you don’t want tumblr or AI using your work.
Hey, you know how tumblr is going to start allowing companies to scrape our posts to train AI?
Wouldn't it be funny if we fed those AIs tons and tons of super super far left writing?
In light of the current shit with tumblr making us opt-out of sharing our blogs with AI scrapers, I checked the state of Wordpress for this and, not surprisingly since it's the same company, you need to opt out there too.
If you have a wordpress-blog of the NAME.wordpress.com kind, you need to go into Settings and under the section Privacy, hit the checkmark for "Prevent third-party sharing for NAME.wordpress.com".
I know some of us here at writeblr have secondary blogs on wordpress, so make sure to opt-out of AI scraping there.
