the thing i think about sometimes that just makes me go ‘evil kermit meme it’s about buddie? always has been’ is the shooting arc and how none of it had to be about buck but it’s yet another thing where one of them goes through The Horrors™️ but they’re so intrinsically linked that it can’t just be one it has to be both.
really, buck has no reason to be there. eddie goes because he has a relationship with charlie and wants to make sure that he’s okay. buck is there because eddie is there. buck is there so that he can be splashed with eddie’s blood, forced to watch eddie fall at his feet, forced to crawl under a fire truck and pull eddie to safety.
anyone could have saved eddie. narratively if you want it to be about eddie, to lead to eddie’s season 5 arc and his exploration of life away from the 118 you can do the same story without buck but.
buck is there because the story isn’t about eddie. it’s about eddieandbuck. it has to be about both of them like so many of the arcs that came before it. the well. the tsunami. the lawsuit. their stories are so interwoven and i just think the shooting arc is one of the most beautifully done examples of that where it’s so hard to ignore how intentional it is that they’re telling a story about not eddie, not buck, but eddieandbuck.
because when something happens to one of them, it happens to both of them. eddie gets shot and it stops buck’s heart for a moment. he’s frozen right there with eddie, unable to breathe or move, because eddie getting shot is the same as buck getting shot, just in a different way.
it’s makes me insane.
i love the thought of catching a partner’s sneezes for them. in a tissue, in a handkerchief, or with a bare hand. maybe it’s done because the person sneezing can’t get to a tissue or handkerchief on time, but you can. maybe it’s because they are so sleepy, but you know they wouldn’t want to make a mess of themselves or you, so you cover for them. maybe it’s done with a bare hand in the case of a sneeze coming on so quickly there’s no time to grab something to cover your hand. maybe it’s done to encourage the person sneezing to blow their nose after. maybe it’s done because one of you is into it. there are so many possibilities & they’re all wonderful
I'm like 90 percent sure Ramb is a faulty cord, so. Tori just bundled him up and tossed him out with Tenna in the dump ending. I think… Tenna might've been her college TV. I think the rise of his career while she was hosting college parties (i refuse to release my party girl Tori hc. She busts that damn move totally sloshed with Sans) and he internalizes a lot from exposure to a lightner like this. Then she meets Carol, and they stay friends up until starting a family, and has his whole big shot moment with Spamton that briefly revitalizes both of their careers— bc I'm sure Tenna was on a downward trend for a bit shortly after the kids were born and neither Tori or Asgore were watching TV, which is why he'd accept help from the mail guy of all people.
