Or type. Think again before you post. Why is it always the individuals that make hurtful or stupid statements, either verbally or electronically, that are wearing their religious jewelry, t-shirts, bracelets, or have a profile littered with religious quotes and passages?
It makes me so sad! Then I get angry. As a religious individual I can admit I fall short and am in every way human as anyone. However, are we not supposed to strive earnestly to set aside ourselves and put the needs of others first? Absolutely, so please, show the love and refrain from making unnecessary statements and posts degrading individuals.
By all means stand firm for what you believe. This is important for your spiritual health and well-being. But you can still be used for evil and must stay on guard. Check yourself before you hurt anotherβs feelings by attacking their physique or personality. We are all given blessings that are valued or devalued on an individual basis.
THINK. Think about how you would feel if someone said or wrote your statements to you! If you are your own god, then disregard, because it all revolves around you. Everyone else, however, please be considerate. Our goal should be to encourage and support one another. If your statement is not meant to be up-lifting, do everyone a favor and keep it to yourself.
