Think Twice
This is such a thrilling crime story that will make you cry for missing the twist at the end. Especially because the author’s red herrings are so good, you manage to persuade yourself you know exactly what’s going on. But boy oh boy will you be wrong. There’s just no way you won’t fall for it, and hey, it makes it such a fun read, I’m not even upset at being fooled so easily!
Toxic love is a big theme in this novel. Toxicity doesn’t really have one good definition; it’s a scale, and everyone has experienced their share of toxic relations, whether it’s family, romance, or friendship. There are always certain signs that protrude through the white blanket like blood. In this novel, we see the kind of love that’s blinding, painful, the kind that makes you kill for each other.Â
The characters in this book didn't interest me much, except perhaps Emily. The author’s ideas on writing, its intentions, and goals are put so skillfully into Emily’s perspective – I really enjoyed reading those.Â
For a crime book, this was a good 8 out of 10 for me.
