I, like Short went to #FremontHighSchool (Along w many other Rap, Education,Activist,Business,Film & Sports legends) Of course I went to #Fremont way after since I'm younger &grew up on Short music pretty much my whole life "Since the Foothill bus # 43" Ogs w/ 📻 bumping my fave song #Dopefiendbeat on Ac Transit Many in this era know him for his favorite word & Sex filled Club,Party hits but growing up in #TheTown we got the full #ShortDog experience w The Live Funk band, #DangerousCrew We saw & learned up close. He had lots of deep songs & spit raw rhymes about a special city that needed a voice & Narrarator. Short explained social issues of Northern Cali in times when Hip Hop was mostly New York voices. He did for the O what Nwa did for Compton. Geto Boys for Houston etc. He added a new dimension & perspective. Rapping about our neighborhoods & Doing videos w future Oakland stars and real live people from the streets as the extras. Most of all he #Dontstoprappin Short put alot of people on too (Directly & Indirectly) I cant even name them all,but even Alot of my Rap career,Oakland pride & national respect,rap energy & opportunities comes from this Raw blueprint.I had the privilege of opening up or sharing stage at so many of his shows from early in the local come up to big events in diff states.
