Notebook Injector — Finally, a Shared Notebook Framework for The Sims 4
See the screenshots in the image carousel below.
With Notebook Injector, mod creators can now build new in-game Notebook content through:
✅ custom categories and subcategories ✅ new entries in custom or compatible existing sections ✅ automatic enum-value allocation ✅ conflict detection and validation ✅ recipes, bait, animal feed, gardening plants, country items, and more ✅ fully configurable CUSTOM entries and tooltips ✅ public source code, templates, and documentation
I have released Notebook Injector (NI), a free framework for The Sims 4.
The Notebook is a useful but underused system, partly because adding organized custom content to it normally requires creators to rebuild the same technical structure or rely on potentially conflicting overrides.
NI provides a shared foundation instead.
Creators can define their own categories, subcategories, entries, icons, text, sorting options, ingredient lists, footers, and tooltips. It also handles enum allocation, checks for common conflicts, and provides detailed diagnostic logs to make integrations easier to test and maintain.
The included CUSTOM entry type can combine several content options in a single Notebook entry, allowing creators to design more detailed and flexible pages. See the screenshots below for examples.

⚠️ Notebook Injector does not add gameplay content by itself. Players only need to install it when a compatible mod lists NI as a requirement.
I would love to see what kinds of Notebook-based mods creators build with it!
