Food is something we ALL depend on. When we have unhealthy food sources, our health suffers. When we eat healthy food, we can withstand so many other onslaughts in life. It may just be greed on the part of those who control Big Agra corporations, or it may be something much more sinister. It doesn’t matter. We need to step away from overly processed foods, foods pumped up with pesticides and foods that come from seeds with uncertain and unproven genes. We need to regain skills that let us grow our own food anywhere, and to preserve heirloom seeds and wide varieties of seed with histories. We need to keep backyard chickens, or rabbits or goats. If we forget the knowledge our ancestors cultivated on growing, preserving and storing food, we have no options but to accept what were offered in tidy microwave packages. And this is not acceptable. . . . #soylentgreenispeople #therevolutionisgrowing #growyourownfood #groworganic #urbanorganicgardening #thedirtonorganicgardening (at Pasadena, California)
