Welcome to The Protagonists: a collection of real stories and more by real human beings. Inspired by Brandon Stanton of Humans of New York (HONY), the purpose of this blog is to create an additional space to fit in more of the world’s almost eight billion voices.

Each of your voices matters significantly, and it is about time that the world heard you. When we listen carefully, we give personal stories the power to bridge divides in understanding, dissolve prejudices, and connect us together. So let’s speak up and listen up.

With that being said, please feel free to share an autobiographical story about any aspect of your life, in either written or video format. It can be as short or as long as you choose. Your poems, personal essays, songs, and artwork are welcome, too, as long as they are your own original works. If you would be willing to share a picture of yourself, that would be appreciated and valued, though not essential. It is up to you whether you would prefer for your content to be posted anonymously.
