But he headcanon version is that oh my goodness if they were together in romantic way it would be just be desperately romantic and sweet imo!! As well as really bizarre -- they’d just cycle through a million conversation topics and go from serious to silly very quickly. As friends, kinda similar deal! Italy communicates a lot through touch, but also talks and talks and talks the whole time. Poland’s less with the physical contact under normal circumstances but likes it with people he trusts. The good thing with Italy (and for Italy with Poland) is there’s no problem or judgment or lasting awkwardness for suddenly blurting out how something is uncomfortable or whatever.
...anyway, this. goes along a little with my "1800s/Italy being really openly and physically affectionate/while they talk about their dreams together" idea from the other time. And it's. Uh. really sappy~ I wrote it late late last night.
