I can't pretend to be wholly high-minded about the enterprise, as I do write these theories in part as an exercise in persuasion - I do want people to engage with what I have thought and agree with me, or otherwise validate me for my insights. Yet, I have been wrong on many occasions as well, and if the releases of Chapters 3-5 have taught me anything, it's that much of what has been surmised both by myself and other more prominent theorycrafters, has been significantly wide of the mark. Thus, to commit any theory to a formal essay with an expectation of it being "correct", or as an attempt to win kudos, is a folly that is sure to bring only disappointment and resentment when it's inevitably disproven by canon further down the line.

I suppose that only leaves the option that, I care a great deal about Deltarune's narrative and its characters, to the point that I would confect an entire parallel-narrative for them that appeals to my sensibilities as a reader and writer of stories. Do I wish for this parallel-narrative to be proven correct? Yes, I would be thrilled if that were the case... but such triumph would be very short lived indeed, especially compared to the more intrinsically satisfying act of creating and crafting this potential narrative, this lovingly defiant act of clairvoyance. To seek to be "correct" rather than to "enjoy" would suffocate much of the joy from the process, not just for myself but for anyone else who deigned to engage with my thought process.

Why would Luluka want to destroy Cure Eclair's Makoto Jewel?

There are a few theories I've seen so far.

The last time Cure Eclair transformed, she was badly hurt, and so Luluka wants to prevent her from being a Precure in case she gets hurt again. The doubts I have about this is that this is a children's show where they try not traumatise them by having their role models lose or get badly hurt.

Cure Eclair's power is unstable, and so she could end up being a danger to herself and everyone around her. Like, she's *too* strong. My doubts about this are once again Precure are role models so maybe that'd be weird and also why would Kurea be special like that?

Cure Eclair is in fact the Great King of Terror, which is why the prophecy is still on track. Once again it'd be weird for a Precure to be something sinister
