The relief in the lean shoulders and lanky limbs he hasn't quite fully grown into was incredibly visible. He slumped to the point of slouching, his smile matching.
"It's been a while since I ran into a calm Jason. There's been two or three that have attacked me and chased me across Gotham."
Now relaxed, he smiled more openly, offering a gloved hand. "Hi, I'm not your Tim."

"I ain't gonna hurt you." Some may say that it was because of Dean, that he knew the intricacies of Emmett's expression ---- but truth be told, no matter how much time had passed, he knew how to read his kids. All of them. He has to know, because training them for this life? Any doubts, any uncertainty, he had to be tuned into. And hell, the vibes he was getting from Emmett were all over the place. Understandably so. With what he was.
"I just wanna talk, that's all." And he was telling the truth. Everything in him pushed him to be prepared - and he was, just in case. But he had absolutely no intention of hunting his son. Perhaps he would've, all those years ago, if the pieces had clicked into place and if Emmett was still around. Woulda damn well destroyed him, too. But right now? The only way this went south was if John needed to defend himself. "Come on, kiddo. I just want five minutes."

Blinking a few times slowly, Dean gazed at Emma with uncertainty in his emerald eyes and a hunt of confusion and distrust showing as well. It was as if he didn't fully believe her, but something was telling him that he had to believe her. "You're sure?" he asked again.
“Happy Birthday.” Emmett hummed, smiling and giving Dean the pie he had made. “I hope you like it.”
Dean smiled at Emmett as he told him Happy Birthday. "You know how much I love pie Emmett and you." Dean told his twin before softly kissing his cheek. "Now how about you cut us some pie?" Dean asked him.
