Got over to @theodoreartbk coincidentally on @sharon_butler @twocoatsofpaint 's birthday yesterday with the kids. They loved it as much as I did- plz forgive pics- taken by kids and squished by insta, don't do the work justice. They are gorgeous and smart, but really they appeal to my own preference in work- they have a happenstance, or a moment in time about them, but in looking, they have a history, a past, memory, and architecture, and a feeling of possibility. Definitely the kind of painting that reminds you why you go see paintings in real life. Some of the these are the kids favourite ones, which they have titled "Mickey Mouse", "The StormTrooper", "Broken Blocks", and "Shifty hats".
